1. How did you get started as a band?

We met through a project we were all a part of. Things weren’t a real match for us so we split off and started Surviving September. Best decision we ever made.

2. How would you describe your sound?

We have a modern Grunge sound with hints of metal and an all around badassery.

3. What bands/artists would you say have influenced your style of music?

AFI, Zebrahead, Pearl Jam, Bad Religion.

4. Has the rise of YouTube & music streaming helped or hindered you as a band?

It’s really tough to say. I know we’ve got more content available for people to listen to, which is always good, but then, they always have access to it which leaves no real urgency to buy an album.

5. What do you enjoy doing when you’re not making music?

We generally reset our clocks with video games, family time, road trips etc.

6. What are your future plans musically? Tours?

We are currently in the process of writing our second album. We are also trying to get onto several festivals this year. We’d love to tour the southeast and possibly make it over to England.
