Band Interview: Scarleth

Games, Brrraaains & A Head-Banging Life are very pleased to bring you an interview with melodic metal band, Scarleth.

1. How did you get started as a band?

Basically, it was my idea to form a band. As a teenager, I was impressed by such bands as Deep Purple and Black Sabbath, so I wanted to form my own band. Ritchie Blackmore was my hero, he is the reason I picked up guitar to play.

2. How would you describe your sound?

Melodic metal with female vocals and unparalleled diversity. We like to mix different styles in our songs, it always sounds fresh and exciting.

3. What bands/artists would you say have influenced your style of music?

I think Black Sabbath, Amaranthe, Within Temptation are among the ones who influenced our sounds, but not only these bands. We are constantly expanding our style, you will hear even more unexpected stuff on the next album. Stay tuned, we’ve started recording of the new single already.

4. Has the rise of YouTube & music streaming helped or hindered you as a band?

It helped us a lot. We can use those tools to get our music to the public, it is very important. However, illegal downloads are also take place, and that is not a good thing. But anyway, I think internet is a really good thing for band’s promotion.

5. What do you enjoy doing when you’re not making music?

Travelling, movies, computer games, just hanging on with the friends – all the things which make us happy 🙂 Those things are also endless source of inspiration.

6. What are your future plans musically? Tours?

We plan to release a single and promo video this year. Also, recording of the new CD is in the plans for this year. In 2019 we want to release the new album to tour to support it. Hope to see you on the road! 🙂
