1. How did you get started as a band?

Ozzie (guitarist/vocalist) always dreamt of being in a band, and when he heard that Thoubi’s a drummer he contacted him and asked him to play with him. After barely talking at the first practice session and sitting naked in the sauna afterwards, they decided to make the band official. A lot of guys came and went before the band settled with the current lineup, also featuring Jake (bassist/vocalist) and Johnsson (guitarist).

2. How would you describe your sound?

We have always been faithful to our influences, but there’s always an additional ”pineapple”-twist which in our opinion makes us unique. In other words we try to avoid that generic playlist -sound and do things our way.

3. What bands/artists would you say have influenced your style of music?

We are heavily influenced by the 1990s California punk rock scene, like Green Day, Blink-182, NOFX and Alkaline Trio just to name a few.

4. Has the rise of YouTube & music streaming helped or hindered you as a band?

Video/music streaming has made it easier for smaller bands such as ours, to release music from anywhere without needing a label to back you up. The cons of course being that the music market is overflowing with so much content that it’s becoming harder to advertise yourself because you get buried in all the noise. But ultimately we think we’ve benefited from the current way of content consumption.

5. What do you enjoy doing when you’re not making music?

Drinking beer is usually a pretty safe bet since we all enjoy that. Ozzie rarely does anything else besides music and drinking. Thoubi is into Mazdas so he likes to spend his time fixing them. Johnsson and Jake are both into football, although Jake enjoys it more on his couch whereas Johnsson is into the real thing. Besides that Johnssons likes to attend student parties and Jake spends his time with craft beer and video games.

6. What are your future plans musically? Tours?

We are currently recording an EP which hopefully sees daylight this year. Moreover we are planning some mini-tours with fellow bands Glass Wipe and Astro-Lloyd in both Finland and Sweden, maybe even in Denmark.
