Band Interview: Mindwake

Games, Brrraaains & A Head-Banging life are pleased to bring you an interview with hard and heavy metal band, Mindwake.

1. How did you get started as a band?

One day at a party, we figured out that we needed to make music together, to make something new and as violent as possible, we don’t know if it’s because of that but every gigs is like a party for us since this time, everyone comes to the show to enjoy a good time with friends, and we’re all happy to make this possible.

2. How would you describe your sound?

Our music is heavy, chaotic, but we still have some riffs that reminds the nu metal era with a more modern sound.You can also find some groovy influences and hardcore parts.Things that makes people move a lot.

3. What bands/artists would you say have influenced your style of music?

We have a lot of different inspirations, we all likes bands like Slipknot, Korn, Emmure, Born of Osiris, Lorna Shore etc..

4. Has the rise of YouTube & music streaming helped or hindered you as a band?

Music streaming in general helped because releasing something is more easy these days but the amount of bands and people making music now is huge so it’s more difficult to find an audience.

5. What do you enjoy doing when you’re not making music?

Some of us like doing martial arts, playing video games, movies, skateboard/BMX, things every 90s kids has probably did at a time in their life.

6. What are your future plans musically? Tours?

At the moment we can’t go on tour because of the virus and it’s a problematic situation when we just released an album. But we had to release it now to focus on the next releases.
