1. How did you get started as a band?

I relocated to Oregon from the Los Angeles music scene. I found almost every band here was a cover band and there were no real alternative music bands. So, I decided to start my own band. Took over a year to find the right musicians and mix of people. We got started and then the pandemic hit! We decided to focus on just writing and recording since we could not play live.

2. How would you describe your sound?

We have a lot of influences from our band members’ experience, but we are still an alt-rock band. Our members have played metal, hard rock, blues, country, alternative, and even orchestral. Not many bands have such a wide range of backgrounds blended together.

3. What bands/artists would you say have influenced your style of music?

The band’s sound has been compared to many artists including Deftones, Evanescence, Fleetwood Mac, Heart, Foo Fighters, and even Tool but we are not a metal band.

We like to say,“We aren’t vanilla or chocolate, but a blend of unique musical flavours!”

4. Has the rise of YouTube & music streaming helped or hindered you as a band?

I think most social media has been helpful in getting more listeners and fans, but it is a slow process. We are always exploring ways to find more fans who enjoy our music. Really good videos are expensive, so video is not the best medium. We did not do live streams during the pandemic as we were focused on writing and recording.

5. What do you enjoy doing when you’re not making music?

We all have different hobbies, but I personally like spending time around my property. I live on the edge of the forest so keeping the property in good condition takes some time. And I enjoy seeing deer and wild turkeys walking by my house. We have chickens and various pets too and my wife fosters kittens and cats for the Humane Society. Animals everywhere!

6. What are your future plans musically? Tours?

We are in studio, again, on May 21, and plan to release our first EP in 2022. This will bring us to 15 original songs in the last 1½ years. First album will be out in 2023 and we are booking live gigs now – mostly for late summer and on. A tour is not out of the question in 2023 but scheduling is never easy. Like almost all indie bands, most of our members work other jobs to pay bills so it makes it difficult to get away for any extended time.

We are getting a lot of radio play, over 40 stations in the last 9 months have played our music so we will continue to push to get over 50 stations and get more press too. The future is bright no matter what. We love what we do and feel we are making some really good music! We won’t stop writing and recording new songs.
