Band Interview: Bazerk
Games, Brrraaains & A Head-Banging Life are pleased to bring you an interview with alternative metal/rapcore mixture, Bazerk.
1. How did you get started as a band?
I started off as a hip-hop artist rocking shows I got tired of the same 16 bars and simple choir changes so I wanted to add some diversity to it, so like basketball coach Phil Jackson I went to go find the best players who could play this shit and had very bad history growing up like me, and the mindset of a winner and the vision to be the best band in the world, so we set off on the road touring to make a name for our self.
2. How would you describe your sound?
Some bands do one style, we do all styles, we do rapcore, metal, alternative rock, punk, reggae. I would say mixture gumbo.
3. What bands/artists would you say have influenced your style of music?
My musical influences are way to many I will give you just a few Run DMC, Rage Against the Machine, Limp Bizkit ,prince, George Clinton, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Fishbone, Beastie Boys, Busta Rhymes, Krs One, my non influence is any thing country
4. Has the rise of YouTube & music streaming helped or hindered you as a band?
Downloading and Streaming our music online, I really don’t mind it people find a way to cheat the system no different then bootleg movies online or stealing bootleg cable all part of the game who ever can get away with it, you have to remember people take on line they have that idea that the artist is so rich they are not going miss them stealing music they are so rich any ways or corporate.
5. What do you enjoy doing when you’re not making music?
When I am not doing music I am playing basketball or watching motivational videos, this influences my creativity in writing and the sassy the and cadence also having a mindset on how to keep reaching for goals.
6. What are your future plans musically? Tours?
The plan is as always what is was, to make Bazerk a household name and tour and kill ever show till we can’t go any more, The future is just to do this music for a living and get paid for what we live to do, We have a single out with Fishbones Angelo Moore called Gonna Have A Good Time, we are also did a remake of Limp Bizkits Break Stuff coming up brand new Bazerk album call Famous For Nothing looking to do a tour in your city, check for our Have Mercy 2 before I go I would like to thank the whole staff for having us and Sam from the label we appreciate it stay mentality safe yall know your worth in life.
