Danish death metal legends Undergang are showing no signs of slowing down, with a brand new MLP called ‘De syv stadier af fordærv’ featuring 7 pieces of ugly rotten death coming September 1st, 2023, via Me Saco Un Ojo Records and Dark Descent Records.

More furious and ferocious death metal from Undergang is always a reason to celebrate but then you throw in the undeniable fact that this mini-album is seven fine examples of this band’s guttural and horror-laden abilities, and we’re all on to a winner here.

Undergang are in a mood, that much is clear from the start, sounding richly vomitus and delightfully rotten across seven slices of refined nastiness. A commanding and powerful showcase of death metal power, raw in nature, but wonderfully refined by a band that knows how to make every hefty hit, hurt.

With a mix of frenzied, blood-curdling, and perverse speed-infused offerings, and unforgiving, cacophonous, and measured touches, this EP leaves an indelible mark on the psyche. Par for the course with Undergang if we’re being honest, but still thoroughly memorable.
