Album Review: Twitch Of The Death Nerve – A Resting Place For The Wrathful (Comatose Music)
Twitch Of The Death Nerve defined A New Code Of Morality with their debut album in 2014, but now these experienced campaigners of extremity (having served time with the likes of Infected Disarray, Repulsive Dissection, Goreinhaled and many more) have abandoned themselves to complete and utter violence.
A Resting Place for the Wrathful will be released on March 27th 2020 via Comatose Music.
A nauseating release, Twitch of the Death Nerve’s A Resting Place for the Wrathful is a maggot-ridden and rotting brand of deathgrind. Eight tracks of pure immorality and a hatred for this world like no other. The band pulverise their instruments and in turn, the mind with a constant high tempo variation of old school death and modern grind.
This isn’t the sound of the end times but rather the resulting effects afterwards. The scattering of humanity, scratching and clawing to survive in a bitter world filled with infectious hate and disease-ridden mistrust.
It’s a feeling that crawls out of Twitch of the Death Nerve’s sound like a boil covered, slimy mutant out of the sewers. On that front, the band absolutely deliver on a horrific sonic experience but that being said, it is music that requires a certain mindset to fully enjoy.
If that’s where your head is at when you hit play, chances are you’ll fall madly in love with their brand of polluted horror.
