Album Review: The Dirty Denims – Raw Denim (Self Released)

Celebrating 15 years as a band, happy hard rockers The Dirty Denims are releasing their very first live album, called Raw Denim. Recored during a live session in the venue of POPEI Eindhoven, it is out on December 10th, 2021.

The album (digital, CD and vinyl) contains a selection of 15 of their songs with the vinyl containing 1 extra bonus track.

Happy hard rock is still an excellent way to describe The Dirty Denims and on this rawer live environment, it fits them perfectly. The selection of tracks they’ve chosen for this record is all about the good time energy that the band exudes in every fibre of their being.

From the head-banging start of Ready, Steady, Go. To the punk-infused frenzy that is Better Believe It and the groovy as hell Even When I’m Wrong, I’m Right. To the infectious sing-along that is Creatures of the Night and the aptly titled Loud Stuff. The Dirty Denims rock and rock hard.

Pick a track, any track and it’s going to rock. It is more than just a rawer and more ‘in the moment’ Dirty Denims release. It also serves as a ‘best of’. So, if you’ve never had a chance to dance, groove and rock to their music, now is your chance.

The band sound great, giving it their all, and throwing their entire rock weight into delivering something that will stand the test of time. As well as proving to be a wonderful encapsulation of their years and an incredible career to date.
