Album Review: The Dirty Denims – Party On! (Self Released)
Known for their electrifying performances and infectious energy, rock and roller’s The Dirty Denims are back with their brand-new album, ‘Party On!’. Out on May 24th, 2024.
Creating lovely infectious music that makes you want to move; The Dirty Denims have established themselves as bankable name when it comes to quality rock music and built up a sizable fanbase over the years.
They’re a popular band, for good reason, and that popularity is only going to increase when they continue to release fun, exciting, thoughtful, and memorable music like the kind that exists on Party On!
The good time vibes are on impressive display from the start with the catchy foot-tapper that is the title track. The Dirty Denims offering up a respectful nod to the likes of AC/DC and sprinkling a little bit of punk into the mix. If you’re not moving to the catchy rhythm, you’ll be singing along loudly to its chorus.
A high bar has been set, but The Dirty Denims are not one to shy away from the challenge of having to top an early anthem. Throwing out a groove-monster like Victory, the rambunctious Guestlist, the grin-inducing chant-along that is We Won’t Stop, and the danceable creativity of Devil in Me. In very quick fashion, the first half of the album flies by in a blur of frolicking fun.
There’s nothing complex going on here, it’s just The Dirty Denims at the heights of the rocking powers and doing what they do best.
Which is why the second half of the album is just as appealing as the first. The Dirty Denims delivering one of the most energetic efforts on the album with Come On. It will make your body shake like you’re in the throes of a fit and be a fan-favourite for many years to come.
It’s not all about rocking hard though (it mostly is) as The Dirty Denims also make more melodious tracks like Hell of a Night sound massive. The energy is still high, but it’s just the right amount of palette cleansing needed to keep the latter part of the album exciting. Which, when we’re getting the likes of Too Loud, Too Old, and I Want it Now!, is a guaranteed feeling.
…and just like that, it’s done. The album wrapping up with the excellent Why Do I Wake Up in The Middle of The Night? One last chance to get your ‘party on’ with The Dirty Denims. At least until it all starts over again thanks to the compulsion to ensure this revelry is never ending.
