Album Review: Necrotted – Worldwide Warfare (Rising Nemesis Records)

Based in Abtsgmünd, Germany, and active since 2008, skull-crushing death metal unit Necrotted will release their 3rd full-length album Worldwide Warfare on October 27th 2017 through Rising Nemesis Records.

Necrotted has this to say about Worldwide Warfare and the experience it has to offer:

“The southern German death metal brigade Necrotted is about to release its third full-length album. Worldwide Warfare is the title of the new record, which contains 10 socio-critical tracks about a global revolution, everlasting threats to society and the last war of mankind. Thrilling guitar riffs, high-speed blastbeats and double bass attacks come upon stomping slam parts and catchy refrains, rounded off by deep, scratching vocals. Also for the third time, the songs were recorded and mixed by mastermind Nikita Kamprad (Der Weg Einer Freiheit). The album mastering was done by Benjamin Stelzer (Parasite Inc.) for the first time.”

Playing an intense style of death metal with elements of speed & thrash, Necrotted are here to bring monstrous heaviness into your life.

Seasoned death metal fans will find plenty to enjoy here. A super high level of guitar shredding & drumming drives songs like Worldwide, Vile Vermin & Unity Front into mind-blowing territory. Necrotted know how to deliver a sonic assault & do it better than most.

For 37 minutes & across 10 tracks, Necrotted don’t let up for even a second. Worldwide Warfare requires your attention, taking a deep breath & then burying your face in it. It’s intense but so rewarding, death metal that keeps on giving the longer you stay in it.

Our Domination is one of the highlights of the album, delivering the same punchy riffs & speeding drum beats that make up the album but with an underlying rhythm that claws at the brain. It does lose a little impact with the penultimate track, Babylon which is fairly forgettable but fortunately it drags it back with the hyper-aggressive finale, Forlorn Planet.

The kind of finish Worldwide Warfare needed with a screaming guitar solo adding a bit of freshness to the sound.
