Album Review: Miscarriage – Fucking Disgusting (Self Released)

Ever since ”Imminent Horror” was released back in February 22, 2019, via Sentient Ruin Laboratories, Miscarriage has been hard at work at writing new material. While ”Imminent Horror” was a slow descent into the bowels of unfathomable, hellish horrors, ”Fucking Disgusting” has much more of a violent and psychotic approach, traversing into the realms of goregrind and noisegrind. ”Fucking Disgusting” takes the listener on a journey through 100 tracks that clocks in on roughly an hour. The musical approach is more similar to the previous outing ”Homicidal Mania I-III” that came out in 2018, but even more amped up combined with the suffocating atmosphere that can be heard on ”Imminent Horror”.

”Fucking Disgusting” was released digitally February 14th 2020.

Fuck. That’s the word that comes to mind anytime Miscarriage bring music to our ears. However, it’s not a despondent ‘fuck’ or a frustrated’fuck’. Rather it’s the ‘fuck’ of someone who knows exactly what they’re in for and is so looking forward to it.

There is no track breakdown here, it’s 100 tracks long ranging from a handful of seconds to a little over a minute. There’s no picking and choosing here, you press play and hold on for dear fucking life.

It’s noise. Nothing but utter noise but fucking hell, are they so damn good at it. It’s so easy to fall in love with something this pulverising, this savage, this insane and this fucking disgusting. You don’t need me to tell you why you need to hear this album, chances are you’ll have made up your mind ages ago if this is for you. An healthy interest in goregrind is desirable but not a deal breaker.

It takes effort to do something like this, effort that has seen Miscarriage become a bankable name in the grind circles. Fucking Disgusting is only going to enhance their reputation and draw even more fans in.
