Album Review: Limousine Beach – Limousine Beach (Tee Pee Records)
New York’s legendary underground label, Tee Pee Records, is thrilled to announce the signing of Limousine Beach and the release of the rising hard rock quintet’s debut self-titled album on April 15th, 2022.
Having a ton of fun, Limousine Beach call back to the heyday of rock (Thin Lizzy, AC/DC, Kiss etc) with a 13-track, arena-sized album. Where every track is an anthem, the energy is rocking, and the good times are rolling.
Limousine Beach aren’t taking the piss out of the sound though. This is a serious album that just happens to be an entertaining blast of proto-glam rock. Most tracks, short and sweet, Limousine Beach have one simple goal, and it’s to get you up and moving. Something they easily accomplish with tracks like Stealin’ Wine, Black Market Buss Pass, What If I’m Lying, We’re All Gonna Get Signed and Doo Doo.
Just a handful of bangers on this mammoth release that just keeps on delivering ecstatic mouthfuls of varied rock tastes.
There’s no deep analysis needed here. Limousine Beach are an uncomplicated bunch, and this self-titled album is an uncomplicated release. Though, that shouldn’t underplay the abilities the group have to deliver such memorable tunes. After all, rock with an old-school glam twist isn’t exactly unique. So, it requires a band of exceptional talent to make things more interesting. Which is exactly what we get from Limousine Beach and then some.
Rock out and enjoy.
