Album Review: Knight and Gallow – For Honor And Bloodshed (No Remorse Records)
USA based, epic & traditional heavy metal band, Knight and Gallow will release their debut album, For Honor and Bloodshed on March 17th, 2022 via No Remorse Records.
40-odd minutes of blood-pumping, chest-thumping and hair-raising heavy metal. Knight and Gallow might be a new band but the direction they go in is suitably old-school. It’s metal and sometimes the simplest way to deliver it, is the best way.
Though, that’s not to suggest For Honor and Bloodshed is just a re-thread of a well-trodden path. It’s more about familiarity than anything else. Like going into an old box, digging out the leather and denim you wore when you were young and finding it still fits.
Feeling old and creaky? Knight and Gallow will offer some much needed vitality here.
An album of galloping energy, spinetingling riffs, fantastical lyrical content and vocals that sing with an innate authority. While also reaching eardrum splitting highs. Regardless of your diet for metal over the years, most will find this album one hell of a tasty treat.
