Album Review: Firewölfe – Conquer All Fear (Limb Music)

Heavy metal band, Firewölfe are back with their 3rd album, ‘Conquer All Fear’, a brand reborn, the album will be released on November 19th, 2021 via Limb Music.

Do you like heavy metal? Of course you do, it’s why you’re here. Well, you’re going to love Firewölfe’s new album as it is an ode all thing heavy and metal. Screeching riffs, screaming solos, power-induced vocals, and chunky percussion… it’s everything we all love about this music and Firewölfe are aiming to please here.

Credit where credit is due, it might have all the old-school vibes but it’s far from the only trick Firewölfe have up their sleeve. Conquer All Fear moves into thrashier and speedier metal at times but can also be heartfelt and melodic too. It’s a gambit running release that can be rightfully called a ‘crowd-pleaser’. Which is kind of the point, right? Please the masses with your musical output!

Few won’t be grinning ear to ear once they hear the energetic metal paring of Vicious as The Viper and Pedal to Metal. Or the sinister, guitar-driven banger that is the title track, rhythmic melody of Swallow the Pride and the metal epic that is Candle in the Dark.

However, it’s the Evil Eye Trilogy that probably deserves the most attention. Here Firewölfe showcase the versatility in their sound with a trio of tracks that encapsulate everything great about this album. Heavy metal highs, frantic instrumentation, head-banging melodic groove and a constant sense that Firewölfe are barely keeping themselves restrained.

The last two tracks; Magic (In Your Mind) and Method to Madness don’t change the formula but when it’s this good, who would want it to?
