Album Review: Eversin – Armageddon Genesi (My Kingdom Music)
Armageddon Genesi is the new album from post-thrash metallers Eversin. Coming as the band reach the apex of their career with their most violent, heavy and furious act ever recorded. Special guests of the album are Ralph Santolla (known for his great work with Deicide but also for his contributions with Death, Obituary and many other bands) and Lee Wollenschlaeger (vocalist in Malevolent Creation). The album will released on June 29th 2018 via My Kingdom Music.
The groovy but heavy thrash beat that gets the album started on Legions gets the blood pumping as it calls to fans of Testament and Slayer.
Eversin happily provide crushing percussion and mind-melting riffs throughout Armageddon Genesi while not missing a beat on rhythmic heaviness. Soulgrinder is a hell of an effort with the added fire of Ralph Santolla adding an extra layer of weight to things.
An album of head-banging gold, there is little to fault here as it continues to deliver meaty thrash riffs, angry vocals and a troubling level of bass heaviness with plenty of solos thrown in too. Lose yourself in the likes of Havoc Supreme, Seven Heads and To the Gates of Abyss.
One for the old school thrash fan in you.
