The band commented:

“We are proud of this new musical chapter. We have left an important mark on the past and are committed to ensuring that this mark can remain indelible. Composing and recording these songs was challenging and, at the same time, natural and fun. We wanted to make an album that’s solid, violent, fun to play and listen to. We believe we made it!”

A beastly listen, it is the title track that blows the doors off with a raging level of death metal. Blasting drum beats, hyper-aggressive riffing and an intense level of guttural vocals. It’s an exciting start even if it’s ‘paint by numbers’.

What really drives Psychonolatry as an album forward is how unwilling it is to make any kind of compromise. You either love Electrocution’s brand of velocity or you bugger off.

There are some really meaty tracks on this album though. Warped is so brutal it’s liable to cause a few loosened bowels. Misanthropic Carnage causes exactly what it says, destruction and devastation. While Divine Retribution delivers an exceptional guitar show with the solo setting fire to everything in sight!

Who wants give when the album in question is this solid? Violence is one way to describe what you’ll hear throughout Psychonolatry but it’s deserved violence. The kind that you have to just acknowledge and take because Electrocution aren’t going to stop until you’re whimpering in the corner.

Give up. This is a great record.
