Album Review: Bad Touch – Bittersweet Satisfaction (Marshall Records)

Norfolk blues-rockers Bad Touch will release their eagerly anticipated fifth studio album, ‘Bittersweet Satisfaction’, on December 8th, 2023, via Marshall Records.

It’s time to get your groove on, to sing along loudly, and shake your booty to what Bad Touch have to offer on this brand-new release. Bittersweet Satisfaction is a continuation of the blues-soaked anthemic rock that the band has become so renowned for, and their refinement of this sound makes the overall experience just as enjoyable as ever.

Yet, Bad Touch aren’t lacking in creativity either, and the ten hot hits of this album prove that. Beginning with a blast of energy that is Slip Away, Bad Touch bringing the anthemic vibes immediately, and then getting even groovier with the following This Life. Things are feeling good already, and Bad Touch are only getting started.

There’s a bit more heart and soul to Spend My Days as it has a bit more melody and the vocals are more pensive, all while being remarkably powerful still. Before the title track sees Bad Touch bring some very strong rock and roll riffs, and the feel-good infectiousness of Nothing Wrong with That. At the halfway point, it’s impossible to not have a big smile on the face.

A smile that only grows as Taste This gives off some effective moodiness to change the tone temporarily. Then Bad Touch bring back the sing along vibes with aplomb as Tonight is a fun and catchy listen. Followed by a piece of music that oozes emotional power in Come Back Again, before the album wraps up with two high energy efforts in the form of See It to Believe It and Dizzy for You. More quality Bad Touch rock groove.

Which is what Bittersweet Satisfaction delivers without compromise, resulting in a constant level of lovableness. Accessible and relatable, constantly anthemic, and filled with confidence, Bad Touch continue to make themselves a name that is synonymous with excellence.
