Album Review: Avi Rosenfeld – Very Heepy Very Purple VIII (Self Released)
In the style of Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, Rainbow, Iron Maiden, Dio, Yngwie etc. Avi Rosenfeld has collaborated with an amazing group of vocalists and musicians from all over the world to create his new album, Very Heepy Very Purple VIII. This is Avi Rosenfeld’s 39th album to date, a prolific artist who continues to put out quality work.

If you’re familiar with Rosenfeld’s work to date then you’ll find Very Heepy Very Purple VIII more of the same. If you’re a fan already then this isn’t an album that will change that. It’s a great encapsulation of everything that the man and his array of guests do so well.
Fans of old-school rock, metal and power will get a kick out of the likes of Serenade to the Heroes, Save Them All and Ice Storm. Deliciously old-school played at just the right tempo to keep things buzzing.
The instrumental Game of Thrones themed track ‘Jon Snow’ is a highlight thanks the stellar guitar work and it’s nice that there are some middle eastern influences that present themselves in Marco Polo.
Short enough to be enjoyed in one sitting, Avi Rosenfeld certainly has plenty of talent. Seven Riders’ galloping rhythms, Silent Killer’s catchy chorus and Never Die’s exciting guitar riffs prove that.
Another great release from the master of the old-school sound.
