Games, Brrraaains & A Head-Banging Life are pleased to bring you an interview with indie rock/pop band, WOUNDEDSPiRiT.
1. How did you get started as a band?
I came up with the band name at school, the line up was formed in 1988 and we played around the UK and a few small tours of Europe until we called it a day in 2000, we reformed in 2016 and released our long awaited debut FOREVERyoung album in 2018 then our second U ME AND THE OCEAN in 2020.
2. How would you describe your sound?
Stadium indie/rock/pop.
3. What bands/artists would you say have influenced your style of music?
U2/SIMPLE MINDS/THE DOORS/COLDPLAY.
4. Has the rise of YouTube & music streaming helped or hindered you as a band?
When you create music you want as many people in the world to hear it, so I would say its helped. Would we like to get a better deal from the platforms for our music…absolutely.
5. What do you enjoy doing when you’re not making music?
Spending time with my children, building my business that is not music related and having a beer with friends.
6. What are your future plans musically? Tours?
We plan to release 3 more singles off our latest album with videos, we have a few gigs starting to line up from August, we are recording a new track in May and planning for 2022 UK tour.
