Album Review: Incinerate – Sacrilegivm (Comatose Music)
Sacrilegivm, the long awaited new album from death metal masters Incinerate will be released on October 9th 2020 via Comatose Music.
The ‘master’ moniker isn’t thrown out for just any band and in death metal’s grand halls you need to be something truly special to be held in such regard. It’s a top table filled with legends, the likes of which many new bands strive to be like but inevitably fail.
Sitting at that table, feet up and with bloody and putrefying meat on their plates are the 20+ year veterans, Incinerate and they are about to unleash a new barrage of death metal horror on the world.
Time mellows a ton of bands but in the case of Incinerate, the fury just seems to be constantly boiling hot. How else can you explain an album that is resolutely ruthless from the very first track to the very last? Yet, it’s also an unswerving heavyweight that excites the mind while also filling the stomach with revulsion.
It makes you feel dirty and it makes you feel in danger. As though Incinerate are about to creep up behind you and add your corpse to their rotting meat plate.
The only surprise here is just how solid the album is and just how timeless Incinerate are.
