EP Review: Inisans/Sepulchral Frost – Death Fire Darkness (Helter Skelter/Regain Records)
Helter Skelter Productions (distributed & marketed by Regain Records) presents Death Fire Darkness, a special split EP between Inisans and Sepulchral Frost, on 10” vinyl format.
Featuring 15 minutes of brand-new, exclusive material, Death Fire Darkness also brings together two of death metal’s most promising hordes.
Of course, Inisans have been around for a spell, but didn’t release their debut album until 2018. That album, Transition, was a critically acclaimed slice of morbid Metal of Death, and the Swedes here offer two new tracks.
Not to be outdone, Sepulchral Frost offer one epic track, which builds upon their two previous demos.
Death Fire Darkness will be released on July 14th 2020.
Offering a pair of vicious blackened death metal tracks, Inisans makeup side A of this release. Holocaust Winds and Circle of the Serpent causing a maelstrom of turbulent noise that batters away at the senses. It’s absolute no-nonsense brutality combining elements from the harsher world of black and death.
Although it’s not like Sepulchral Frost offer any kind of respite. Who needs it though? It’s a 14-minute EP! Here, though the determination is a lot more sincere as the shouted vocal style and lone guitar moments showcase darker thoughts.
