EP Review: Negative Thought Process – Hell… Is Much Better Than This (Hibernacula Records)
In 1982, a punk band in California posed the social question of “How Could Hell Be Any Worse?” 38 years later, UK trio Negative Thought Process have provided the answer with their third release Hell… Is Much Better Than This. Their crust-grind-violence mishmash sets a punishing course, as the band rage against modern society in the face of crippling hopelessness.
The 6 track/10 minute long EP will be out on April 24th 2020 via Hibernacula Records.
A mean mother-f**ker, Hell… Is Much Better Than This sees Negative Thought Process spit and snarl with uncompromising savagery. The first 5 tracks barely passing the minute mark and delivering crust-grind brutality. Each track a hard and hefty blow to the head that will leave you seeing stars.
The one longer track, the finale of Force Fed Life is the only one that changes tactics. Instead of an immediate assault, it sneaks up behind before delivering the harshest of crusty blows.
A mean mother-f**ker…but one you’ll welcome with open arms.
