EP Review: Wardomized/Days of Hate – Split EP (Sudden Strike Records)
From Sudden Strike Records comes a new split release. One that has Northern Irish thrash/grind crossover unit, Wardomized teaming up with Brazilian grindcore band, Days of Hate.
Two tracks each, the split EP is out on now.
It’s already been too long since we’ve had fresh Wardomized music, their latest album ‘…A Heated Exchange was released at the end of August 2019. Here the noise-merchants deliver two slabs of head-banging noise to put a big smile on the face.
A smash-mouth approach with Hollow Fortune leaves you spitting blood and teeth, the guttural noise only lasts about a minute but it is still incredibly intense. Whereas Suffer the Substance is all about thrashing speed for 37 seconds exactly.
It’s not much from Wardomized but it’s still mightily enjoyable.
Whereas Days of Hate give us a fair bit more with Do Oco Ao Vazio. Their grinding chaos and horror lasting nearly two minutes long before O Fim da Esperanca delivers an infectious 45 second offering of death. It’s the equivalent of someone slamming their groin in a drawer and the microphone picking up the yelps and screams of pain that follow.
