Music News: Singer & Guitar Shredder, Leona X, Releases Riveting New Single – I’m Alive!
Leona X has honest emotion in her signature guitar work and song writing. Her music is emotionally raw and riff heavy, and her live performances have been described as commanding and passionate.
Her biggest guitar influences are Angus Young, Toni Iommi, and Jerry Cantrell. These guitarists inspired her to learn guitar and helped shape her fiery blues-based rock style.
She is the singer/lead guitarist, and songwriter of her original Las Vegas based band, and continues to grow and evolve as an artist. Those who know her say she is an amazing talent with a heart of gold.
Leona X was voted as Las Vegas’ best rock band in the VegasRocks! Magazine Awards, and has been featured in Guitar Player Magazine. She is also the spokes-model for the Gibson Goddess Guitar Limited Edition Series.
She has travelled and performed all over the world with her internationally recognised rock band Jaggedy Ann, whose album “Boiling Point” was produced by Phil Rudd of the legendary AC/DC band.
Leona just finished recording her new single, “I’m Alive!”, which is a testament to her recent spiritual awakening. It was written under a full Taurus Moon on November 12th, 2019.
This song is emotionally riveting, channeling the magic and awesome power of Mother Nature. It also includes an intro called “Til We Meet Again”, dedicated to her beloved cat, Ebby, who passed away 3 days after the song was written.
“I’m Alive!” was recorded during the Full Penumbral Lunar Eclipse on January 10th, also known as the Full Wolf Moon. The release date is set for March 9th on the day of the Super Full Worm Moon! Meaning this song will have been written, recorded, and released under 3 very powerful full moons!
Las Vegas local, Vinnie Castaldo, engineered, mixed, mastered, and co-produced the single at The Tone Factory, in addition to playing drums on it. Danny Miranda, of the classic rock band, Blue Oyster Cult, is featured on bass.
After having released her last EP “The Woman In Me” in 2018, this new song is very much a part of Leona’s ever-evolving growth as an artist and as a person. Her greatest passion is songwriting, and through it, spreading a message of love, compassion, and equality for all species, and for our beautiful planet.
Currently, Leona is getting ready to film the official music video for the newly released single, and is already planning to record more songs. She will also be making live performances in the spring of this new decade, 2020.
