Album Review: Abominism – Abominism (Black Market Metal Label)
Black Market Metal Label is proud to announce the July 26th 2019 release by the brutal and crushing Philadelphia band Abominism, and their newest self titled offering. With this new album, Abominism delivers a ferocious blend of technicality, melody, and brutality aided by fang-filled growls, With dissonant blackened guitars, heavy Death Metal riffs and atmospheric melodies, the album dives into a hole of utter and complete darkness were the human race is rendered extinct.
The fires of hell burn bright on Abominism’s new self titled release and while it might be only six tracks long, it brings enough heat to melt the the flesh from bone.
Six tracks of contemptible horror, blackened death metal played with all the destructive power of the end times. It pushes and pulls the mind in every conceivable direction as the riffs rain sickening acidity down, the drums shake the very earth and the vocals deliver slice after slice to leave all bloodied and in pain.
Yes it is horrible hate but it’s damn good horrible hate. The highlight coming with the huge heaviness of To Live, Dream and Yet Die As Nothing. This is Abominism at their strongest even if it’s not them at their most savage. No, that comes with the title/band name track that follows it. Unbelievable.
Yes, it’s blackened death metal and we’ve had our fair share of that in recent times but when bands are producing such strong releases as this, there’s no chance of getting sick if it.
