Nintendocore – A taster

While sitting around Googling the massive and unnecessary amount of genre’s associated to Heavy Metal music I came across one I had never heard of before. That genre was Nintendocore. Yep, it is a real metal genre with a small amount of bands that play “aggressive styles of modern rock with chiptune and video game music”.

I have to admit it piqued my interest a little, what with being video game fans and metal fans so thought I would share a few bands and tracks with you. Take a look and let me know what you think in the comments.

Warning – At least in my opinion, while interesting and comical, do not expect much in terms of heavy metal but the concept is cool and they are presumably having a good time so why not, right?
