Album Review: Theia – The Ghost Light (WDFD Records)

Hailing from the heart of England’s ale brewing capital, on the edge of the National Forest, Burton-on-Trent three-piece, Theia, bring the world their blend of hard rock n roll. Theia will release their third album ‘The Ghost Light’ on 13th July on WDFD Records.

Theia 2

Theia come with a serious amount of hard-rocking groove on their latest album as What You Want comes firing out of the blocks with a super-catchy beat and a chorus that will have you singing along in an instant.

The mischievous smile that it has all over its face is infectious as the sleazy Dirty Livin’, The Revelator (with its harmonica use) and the soft, melodic Over the City keeps the quality of first half of the album high.

The Ghost Light is an album that just hits the right spot with its hard rock patter and at just 10 tracks long, it stays fresh as No Crisis, Children of Change and Throw me a Bone confirm what should be obvious now and that is Theia deliver heavy rock rhythm that will appeal to most.
