Album Review: Torn the Fuck Apart – A Genetic Predisposition to Violence (Gore House Productions)
Kansas City brutal death deviants, Torn the Fuck Apart return with their fourth full-length album, ‘A Genetic Predisposition to Violence’. The soundtrack to your nightmares, the album is out on June 29th 2018 via Gore House Productions.
A melting pot of savage death metal, technical heaviness and murderous intent, A Genetic Predisposition to Violence is intensity personified. From the moment It Jammed the Woodchipper kicks off proceedings it’s clear that this is not an album for the faint-hearted.
Unrelenting, any moments where the assault does lessen is only to give you a brief glimmer of hope that the abuse might stop before being snuffed out. Those moments do show off a bit more talent within Torn the Fuck Apart. Moments such as the gothic tone of In the Confines of Fear that bleeds into the ferocity of Dad’s Head For Dinner.
At their core, Torn the Fuck Apart are all about delivering slamming and high-tempo metal though. There is no arguing that the likes of Abhorrent Existence, Collection Complete and Compulsion to Torture aren’t going to loosen a few brain cells with the intensity of head-banging it will bring.
