Album Review: Balls Out – Too Big To Handle (M&O Music)
Upbeat French rock and roll band, Balls Out will release their debut EP ‘Too big To Handle’ on March 9th 2018 via M&O Music.
Influenced by the heavyweights of the rock & roll world, Balls Out are all about having fun while delivering memorable riffs, hooks & solos. The upbeat stylings of Let Me Go and Wet and Late make that clear early on in the EP. It’s all good fun even if the raw vocals take a moment to get used too.
The bass-heavy groove of Bad Wolf is a particular highlight with the added bonus of a screaming guitar solo thrown in for good measure.
Short & to the point, each track zooms by in a blur of AC/DC & Kiss like catchy rhythms. In particular the final track is an unashamed tribute to the stadium-style rock riffing that made those bands such stars.
It’s got a rough edge & needs refinement but Balls Out have the upbeat & catchy classic rock style down.
