Bloodstock 2017 Band Feature/Interview: Wretched Soul
Bloodstock is the premier metal festival in the UK, showcasing the cream of rock & metal across a wide spectrum of genres. The 2017 edition takes place from the 10th to the 13th of August. Head over to the festival’s website to find out much more & pick up day tickets, weekend camping tickets have now completely sold out!
The line-up this year is one of the best the festival has ever managed to put together. With a huge range of established & up-and-coming bands spread across the four days. The Sophie Lancaster Stage (the second) is absolutely stacked this year. Sunday in particular is hosting an incredible line-up & on of those bands is Wretched Soul!
The British blackened death metallers are up there as one of the countries most exciting metal acts & even though they’re on fairly early on Sunday you can expect a raucous crowd!
We’re very proud to bring you an interview with Wretched Soul.
1. Tell us a bit about yourselves. How’d you get started as a band?
Wretched Soul was formed in a Haunted Forest in the Autumn of 1847 by two brothers who, through dangerous and arcane divination techniques, summoned a dark power from the future, known as the Almighty Riff. Keen devotion to this dark power is why Wretched Soul exists today!
2. How are you feeling about playing Bloodstock this year?
Mainly with our hands, like a horde of horny Zombies!
We’re running a special limited edition Bloodstock Event T-shirt, which will be available from the Official Merch Stand at BOA. Or via pre-order at this link!
3. What can people expect from your set?
A ten-foot high three-headed Werewolf and some of our songs…showcasing our new album The Ghost Road.
4. What bands (if any) are you hoping to check out while you’re there?
As many bands as possible, but especially our friends; Shrapnel, Eradikator, Xentrix, Devilment, Infected Dead, Spyder Byte, OHHMS.
5. What’s the future plans for the band?
Eventual, total World Domination! but for now; a UK/European tour with India’s Death Metal Masters, Demonic Resurrection in October, then album number 3 to be commenced (and hopefully completed) by the end of next year!
