The line-up this year is one of the best the festival has ever managed to put together. With a huge range of established & up-and-coming bands spread across the four days. The small Jagermeister stage is always the place to find exciting & unique bands. One of these is Sunday night’s Voodoo Blood!
A fantastic blend of bluesy metal, headlining any stage is a big deal & Voodoo Blood easily deserve their position. That this is their first major festival slot should guarantee your reason to be there!
This is “Anabolic blues at its finest.”
We’re very proud to bring you an interview with Voodoo Blood.
1. Tell us a bit about yourselves. How’d you get started as a band?
Well, we met at university were we found we all had the same love for riffs, blues and tone! One of our first gigs together was at the Royal Albert hall in London which was mad and we have been hooked ever since.
2. How are you feeling about playing Bloodstock this year?
We are truly humbled and excited! This will be our first major festival and we’re absolutely chuffed that it is Bloodstock. We’ll remember this forever.
3. What can people expect from your set?
High voltage anabolic blues with a few voodoo spells and balls. Lots of balls.
4. What bands (if any) are you hoping to check out while you’re there?
We’re big fans of Ghost, our singer Kim got up on stage with them a few months ago as a sister of sin. Megadeath and Arch Enemy are going to be sick too! We are chuffed that some of our friends are playing too, so we can’t wait to check out Twisted Illusion, Silverchild and Ward XVI!
5. What’s the future plans for the band?
We have a single coming out in October which we will announce while we are at Bloodstock, and we’ll also be hitting the road early November!
We’d like to thank Voodoo Blood for taking the time to give this fantastic interview. Make sure you check them out at Bloodstock & on their future tours.
Their latest EP, Anabolic Blues is out now & can be listened too/picked up via Big Cartel, Spotify, Apple Music & Amazon.
