Christmas Horror Short Review: The Christmas Goblin (2024)
From LadyBug Productions comes The Christmas Goblin, a festive horror short to ensure the kids behave themselves this Christmas.
It’s Christmas Eve, and a group of kids are misbehaving, trying to find out what gifts they have by shaking the presents under the tree. Frustrated and wanting to get the kids off to bed, their mother decides to entertain them with the story of the Christmas Goblin.
So, what is the Christmas Goblin? An evil being tasked with punishing the kids on Santa’s naughty list. Of course, it’s a story that is dismissed by the kids as nothing more than an attempt to scare them. Which is just what it is, right?
Unfortunately, this isn’t very good, and the lack of budget is glaringly obvious. If that was the only issue, it would be at least worth praising, but it’s filled with issues. Issues like an uninteresting story, awkward acting, poor editing, predictable direction, and an abrupt ending that is wholly unsatisfying. Give this one a miss, but if you do want to see what it’s all about, you can check it out below.
