Evilon, the melodic folk & death metal band from Sweden released their brand-new album, ‘A Warrior’s Way’ at the start of November 2024, via Fetzner Death Records. A record that sees Evilon delving deeper into the swamp of beautiful folk melodies reminiscent of older times, while still maintaining aggressive, yet melodic, death metal riffs. The kind that has come to represent the Scandinavian metal scene.

‘A Warrior’s Way’ has been heralded as their best release yet, and it certainly finds the band in a more confident place when it comes to showcasing the power in their folk sound.

 

 

This is just one aspect of the new album that we discussed with band founder and guitarist Kenneth Evstrand. Who, alongside, bassist Kjell Rune Sønsthagen, gave us even more insight into their processes, how the ever evolving face of Evilon got to this stage, what the future might look like, and so much more.
