It shouldn’t be too much of a surprise to learn that this album isn’t for the faint-hearted or those easily offended. Repuked aren’t just offering up a vile and sadistic style of death metal, they’re also offering up a sexually explicit and gory showcase of twisted pleasures and sickening pain. It sounds like fun, right?

It’s not. Not at all, but that doesn’t mean the extreme noise that is showcased here doesn’t have merit. After all, as tonally f**ked up as it is, the sound is still rooted in the extreme and on that front, Repuked know how to deliver familiar garish horrors and brutalising noise. It’s not just death metal either as there are elements of blackened punk and filthy rock and roll here and there too. Although you’re going to have to dig around in the vomit and faeces to find it.

Ignore the dude jacking off in the corner as you do this, that’s just one of the many ‘delights’ that Club Squirting Blood offers.

Too much? You have no f**king idea. I’m trying to dance around the nauseating aspects of this record that extend far beyond some horrible titles. This isn’t me pearl clutching and nor should you as Repuked aren’t taking themselves too seriously, but only a fool would fail to recognise just how offensive this music is.

Who cares though, right? Repuked have extended the invitation and it’s up to you to take it. Whereas, publicly, most shake their head in disgust and shoe these cretinous creatures away, in private… well, we’re all here now, aren’t we? Admit it, you’re a little turned on.

Repuked deliver exactly what they promise, and more, leaving all who subject themselves to this album feeling queasy and grubby. That’s a pretty solid response to a record as crass as this.
