Get Heavy Fest Returns in 2025 – First Wave of Bands Announced!

Following the sold-out success of their 2023 and 2024 events, Get Heavy Fest returns in 2025 having expanded to be a two-day event! Run/organised by Get Heavy UK, a Newcastle-based live video-radio show and podcast that promotes and talks about positive mental health within the alternative scene.

Taking place on the 16th and 17th of August at Downcast Studios, in Gateshead/Newcsatle, the festival will host 16 bands over two days, promising a louder, longer, and heavier experience for all attendees. An event that is already shaping up to be very special already with tons of bands having been announced.

Headlining the Saturday night of the festival is the Telford-based melodic metal band, Recall the Remains. While the Sunday night headliner is Edinburgh-based based groove metal band, Dog Tired. Joining them on the Saturday, the stage will resonate with Inflictions , Culturist , and Misery Channel. Then, on the Sunday, prepare for the onslaught of Kraken Waker, Souls of Jack Ketch, and Loviatar.

With plenty more bands to come, Get Heavy Fest is shaping up to be one of hell of an event and to reflect that, tickets are flying out the door. Early Bird Weekend and Day Tickets are now available through Fatsoma: £12 for Day Tickets and £20 for Weekend Tickets. From January 1st, 2025, new prices will emerge: £15 for Day Tickets and £25 for Weekend Tickets, so get them now when they’re cheaper!
