One of the most underrated bands in the UK scene for too long, Turin are finally starting to get more attention and deservedly so. Finally, folks are beginning to pay attention to their quality brand of heavy and miserable metal and this album is going to go a long way to helping that.

Through Mists – Branches (Self Released)

Becoming a parent can significantly change a person and alter their lives completely, and it is this change that Through Mists explores on this new album. Continuing to showcase a creatively extreme metal sound, twisted by an eccentric progressive edge. It might only feature five tracks, but Branches packs a punch and like previous work, ensures a mental workout.

King 810 – Under The Black Rainbow (Self Released)

Credit where credit is due, this is a very ambitious and imaginative project from King 810. Always capable of surprising and always capable of delivering something memorable. Don’t be under any false illusions though, there are aspects of this EP that is still very much them. It just so happens to be a different kind of story telling from the group.

For the story alone, this new Mothman and the Thunderbirds release is their most impressive effort yet. However, when combined with a dazzling array of sounds that draws from the worlds of prog, rock, pop, psychedelia, and more, it becomes even more special.

To the surprise of no-one, Cleansing of the Temple are unleashing hell with this, their debut full-length album. A nine-track beast of epic extreme metal proportions with an infusion of slam and hardcore to make it sound even more feral.
