The rise of Godeth continues with aplomb, having wowed many when they performed at Bloodstock 2023 and now, likely to wow even more with this very strong EP. Featuring six varied slabs of heavy, Godeth aim to showcase the very best they have to offer here and they nail it.

Beginning with Test My Resolve, keeping it short and sharp, it’s a chunky and abrasive opener that leans towards the hardcore side of the band’s music. Albeit with more riffs and groove. It’s a brash start, and thoroughly enjoyable, but the bar is really raised with the following Coup de Grâce. The frantic speed of this one, the furious heaviness, the infectious groove that just compels you to bang. This is the s**t that makes Godeth such a special band, and it is one of many on this EP that will sound immense when aired live.

Sounding darker, with just as much force even with the differing tempos, and showing a creative approach to heaviness, Cartilage is another banger. Before the excellent Solace arrives in eye-watering style. Another of those ‘sure to be killer live’ tracks thanks to the intensity of the riffs, drums, and vocals. The added sheen of abrasiveness makes it so much stronger as a track.

Not content with wrecking necks already, Godeth then unleash the EPs grooviest track of all with Hatred. Then wrap things up with one hell of a nasty one in the form of the title track. All the parts of Godeth have been on fire throughout this EP, but there is just something extra being given here, resulting in one of their most hard-hitting tracks of all.

There comes a point where we have to stop saying that the future looks bright for this band and start accepting that the future is now. Godeth are one of the brightest metal acts in the country and this EP is all the proof anyone needs.
