1. Hello! Thank you for taking the time to chat to us. First things first, tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started.

Hello! Apparition 10:01 consists of Jimmy and myself (Spooky). We broke away from our previous band Against Himself. We formed in Denver, Colorado and have been making music together for nearly 10 years. We debuted Apparition 10:01 on Halloween 2023, so we’ve only just begun!

2. Someone comes to you and asks you to sum up what kind of music you play – what do you tell them?

I would describe our music as melodic hard rock, with elements of alternative and metal! We truly just write whatever we feel like at this point.

3. What’s currently going on in your camp? New releases? Tours? Etc.

We are currently focusing on releasing singles every 6 weeks. Like I stated above, we debuted Apparition 10:01 on Halloween 2023, so we only have 2 singles out at the moment. We have a handful of songs fully produced and ready to go!

4. What has been the most positive experience of making music to date for you?

The freedom of expression and making the music we want to make! Developing our artwork and branding has also been exciting!

5. Likewise, what has been some of the more challenging aspects and how have you overcome them?

Some of the more challenging aspects are handling everything ourselves. Ya know, how musicians have to be designers, influencers, and marketers this day in age.

6. How do you handle the modern expectations of being in a band? Always online, having to put out content constantly, your success measured in likes and follows?

It’s definitely something you have to adapt to. Social media is here to stay and is always evolving. We all have powerful computers in the palm of our hands. Make the best of it!

7. What’s something that really ‘grinds your gears’ about the industry/business these days and what would you propose is done to combat it?

Hmm, this is a difficult question. Music is subjective and everyone’s preferences are different. Some genres we simply don’t agree with, or feel like zero talent was needed to create it, but they blow up and have a massive following. Perhaps we don’t blame the industry, and more-so the generation with TikTok brain, haha.

8. Speaking directly to listeners – what would you ask they do to help support your music?

Just listen and share with people who you’d think would appreciate it! Follow us on social media and streaming services so you don’t miss a beat!

9. Outside of the music, what do you do to relax?

Personally, music is everything to me. If I’m not making music, I’m either listening to music, or lifting weights while listening to music.
