David Harbour Gives A Shout-Out to Asmongold
Few celebrities play video games as frequently as David Harbour, who never misses an opportunity to discuss his favorite game, World of Warcraft. He admitted during a Stranger Things panel on Netflix that he became so dependent on the show in his early 30s that it “ruined his life.” Since then, Harbour has been able to repair his relationship with the game, and he recently teamed up with other Twitch streamers to play its most recent expansion, Dragonflight.
One of the most popular Warcraft streamers on the platform, Asmongold, who couldn’t believe it when he learned about it, received a shoutout from him while he was playing.
THE SHOUT-OUT
When a fan asked David Harbour to rate his in-game transmogrification outfit, the actor nervously laughed as he prepared to respond. This led to the show-out.
‘Oh, wow. Here we have some Asmongold material,” Harbour said. He continued to make jokes about the player’s blue shoulder armor, which Asmongold also described as being “absolutely awful.”
It didn’t take long for Asmongold to reply, and during the live stream, the Twitch streamer typed out a heartfelt “TELL DAVID I LOVE HIM” message. Given David Harbour’s ardent devotion to the game, it would be a funny turn of events if he ever found himself competing in or even hosting a transmogrification competition alongside Asmongold.
While it’s unlikely, stranger things have happened for the World of Warcraft streamer lately. Among the more audacious suggestions from his audience, some also mentioned in half-joke that this could lead to Asmongold having a small cameo in the final season of a certain Netflix show.
Comments from YouTube fans
- The fact that this seemed so genuine is cool. He genuinely grabbed Asmon’s name out of a “grade my mog” comment as if he hadn’t received any prodding. That demonstrates his true subject matter expertise. Cool
- Asmongold is unaware of his fame. So healthy.
- I would like to see Asmongold play some Allccraft with David eventually.
- Asmongold is probably a familiar name to English-speaking WoW players in North America, but the fact that he is knowledgeable about the subject matter (transmog comps) is unquestionably a step up.
- I’m happy for Asmon guy because he deserves all of his accomplishments. And rip his mom, I know that he is struggling with that in the background.
- The haunting in Asmongold’s liar from Stranger Things 5.
