Bloodstock 2022 Band Feature: Crepitation

Bloodstock Open Air 2022 takes place from August 11th and August 14th with a line-up that might be one of the best the festival has ever put on. A wide array of rock and metal acts spread across four stages, it’s looking likely to be a weekend not to be missed. Pick up tickets here.

Smashing heads and necks since 2005, Crepitation are band that you don’t watch, you survive. Especially if you’re anywhere near the pit.

Made up of many different bands from around the UK, when it’s time for Crepitation to ride again, the ground shakes and angels weep. Their brand of slamming, brutalising and crushing tech-infused deathgrind has been delighting fans of extreme noise for a very long time.

In that time, they have had a bevy of releases. Several demos, EPs and split-releases and one full-length album, ‘The Violence of the Slams’ in 2015. However, in 2021 they released the compilation album ‘Perpetual Devolution Through Narcosis’. A ‘best of’ that came in CD and DVD format. The CD featuring an eye-watering 26-tracks. That’s 26 individual slices of innate savagery to go wild too. Whereas the DVD featured 30-minutes of footage from their ‘Live at Foothills Gutfest 2014’ show.

 

 

If you need a taste of the sights and sounds that Crepitation has to show you, then this compilation is where it’s at. Or, if you’re going to Bloodstock 2022, you could take your chances by heading to the Sophie Lancaster stage on Friday. Who knows? Maybe you’ll make it out alive.

It is with great pleasure that we get to fly the flag for underground extreme metal in the UK at the biggest independent, open air metal festival in the UK. The underground has been bubbling with talent and it’s amazing to see some long time friends such as Basement Torture Killings and Party Cannon getting the exposure they deserve.

We will be delivering our vicious mix of technical death metal and grind peppered with massive slams on the Sophie Lancaster stage. We look forward to seeing some familiar faces, and also the looks of horror on those unfamiliar with us.
