Buy Me a Coffee at ko-fi.com

1. How did you get started as a band?

After Diachronia parted ways, Daniel, Krzysztof, Michael and Przemyslaw ‘Kofi’ decided to form a new band. The name ‘Dying Vision’ was given by Przemyslaw.

2. How would you describe your sound?

Extreme metal that consists of melodic elements layered with dissonant textures.

3. What bands / artists would you say have influenced your style of music?

Early influences included but were not limited to Swedish (Scandinavian) Death Metal. For example, Edge of Sanity and Pan.Thy.Monium.

4. Has the rise of YouTube & music streaming helped or hindered you as a band

It is superior to CDs’ physical format in terms of reaching a wider audience. YouTube, of course, allows us to upload music videos to add a visual component that would otherwise be a bonus disc in a CD case. With that said, we face the problem like everyone else of such a high quantity of bands out there. We are often asked what bands we sound like to aggregate our music by some category. This is a difficult question – I am not aware of many bands that sound similar enough to us for comparison, and I appreciate it when fans can offer their outside perspective.

5. What do you enjoy doing when you’re not making music?

All members have full-time jobs alongside the band as well as other bands (Owen for example is also a member of Edge of Ruin and Tyrannos) so time is often limited. We are all of course fans of music ourselves so enjoy consuming metal music as much as making it.

Outside of the metal scene altogether members’ pastimes have included: photography, fishing, working out at the gym as well as members spending time with their families.

6. What are your future plans musically? Tours?

We are continuing to perform shows in the UK and Central Europe in 2022 and will begin production of the third album in 2022. We are open to any touring opportunities that come our way subject to feasibility.
