EP Review: Plague Years – All Will Suffer (MNRK Heavy)

Gritty thrash and death crossover metal band Plague Years deliver the follow-up to 2020’s much lauded full-length, Circle of Darkness on July 8th, 2022. An EP called ‘All Will Suffer’, it will be released via MNRK Heavy.

As ruthless as ever, Plague Years are back with serious aplomb. Bringing another, smaller but effective, slice of modern thrash and death crossover heaviness to the masses.

Four tracks long, All Will Suffer is an eye-watering blast of head-banging noise. Kicking off with the fierceness of Make You Mortal, Plague Years starting the EP off very hot and freaking heavy. A ‘love at first sound’ kind of track and a sharp and painful reminder of Plague Years’ thrashy abilities.

Suffer then brings a temp drop with chunky riffing and thumping drumbeats before Plague Years put their foot on the gas and go bloody wild. Followed then by the brash, groovy crossover banger that is Reality of Filth and the monumental brutality of Cursed. Both tracks feature a killer guitar solo too.

It’s all over far too quickly but goodness, is it a breathless listen. Modern thrash done right.

Plague Years – All Will Suffer Full Track Listing:

1. Make You Mortal
