Hailing from Christchurch City, New Zealand, Organectomy have been an unstoppable force at the forefront of New Zealand’s slam and death metal scenes since first hitting the stage more than a decade ago.

They will release their third full-length album, Nail Below Nail, via Unique Leader Records on 8th July 2022.

With no concession on ruthlessness, Organectomy deliver a colossal example of slamming death metal with a twelve-track album set around boundless and adamant savagery. Yet infused with elements of groove, technical riffing and subtle atmospheric tones. Stuff that is notable but, in no way detracting from what the album is at its core.

It’s that core heaviness that will keep you coming back for more and more as Organectomy provide the soundtrack to brazen rage. It’s the core slam death noise that stirs the beast, gets the muscles flexing and the head well and truly banging.

Unleashing pits forged in the bowels of hell, their impressive musicianship is exciting and interesting. That’s not always the easiest thing to do as death metal, slamming death metal, has seen a big resurgence in the last few years. Meaning more and more bands are improving the sound and taking it to higher levels. Along come, Organectomy to push the limits once again and make Nail Below Nail one of 2022’s finest extreme releases.

From blistering beginning to beguiling end, Organectomy deliver slamming banger after banger. Cutting a bloody path with tracks like Concrete, The Third Mutation, Breeding Chaos, Entrapped Savagery and Coerced Through Submersion. Just a selection to leave you bloodied, battered and bruised. Take your pick from any of the twelve though, Organectomy aren’t screwing around. Just be prepared to have a hefty weight dropped squarely on your head.
