Over the years I have always been a big fan of the game Final Fantasy. Every new one that comes out is a blast for me and I love every second of it. Open world gaming and the turn based play in the earlier games was so much fun, with the new style of it being more about how you manoeuvre and use your abilities was my favourite change.

The game is vast with so much story behind each character that I grabbed my attention. Lately however I have been playing Elden Ring though and it has easily become one of my favourite games. The sheer complexity of the game really has had me at the edge of my seat. The split second moves to ensure survival are mind blowing. The storyline was written by George R. R. Martin the writer of Game Of Thrones really stepped up and created a story that leaves you wondering what is next every step of the way and I can’t be more impressed.

This game gave me something I never imagined in a game. Usually you can mindlessly play a game and use some mental energy to figure out puzzles or build for the right fight. I personally feel like every choice in Elden Ring though is a make or break in the early game. You spend rune to level up or buy items from merchants if you spend rune in the wrong stat, well that’s it. You don’t have a choice to fix it till you fight some pretty heavy hitters later in the game. I like that this game made it not easy for you to win even the smallest movement wrong could end poorly for you if not careful. If anyone hasn’t checked it out you are truly missing out!
