Active since 2014, Famyne’s brand of doom has made them a household name on the independent UK metal circuit. Self-releasing an EP and debut album, they have since been picked up by Svart Records and will have a second album due out later this year.

No strangers to Bloodstock, Famyne came up through the Kent Metal 2 the Masses in 2016, which they won. Earning a slot on the New Blood Stage that same year. If you didn’t know who Famyne were before, you did come Bloodstock 2016.

In addition to that momentous show, the band have also toured all over Europe. Hitting the likes of France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Poland, Germany, The Netherlands and Belgium.

Their shows can be best described as hypnotic. Where doom meets hard rock, stoner, metal, psychedelia and much more. If you’re not transfixed by what you see on the stage, you’re likely to be moving to the groove of their noise.

Taking to the Sophie Lancaster Stage on the Thursday of the festival. Be ready, the band are and had this to say:

Bloodstock will be the first outing of new material from our second album – alongside some older, fan favourites.
