Bloodstock 2021 Band Feature: Casket Feeder
If you’re after noise, death metal chainsaw fury blended with sledgehammer hardcore groove, Casket Feeder have what you want. 30 minutes of pandemonium on the New Blood Stage come Thursday 12th August.
The five-piece made an immediate impact with their debut EP, Venomous Tongues in 2017 and followed that up with the 2018 EP, Scalps. The latter is what got our attention and we described it as… Noise, the kind of noise that appeals to the primal urge in all of us.
Powerful, impactful and so very wild. The range that Casket Feeder have makes them a very exciting listen and the mix of death metal and hardcore doesn’t come across muddled or confused.
An impressive EP from a band showing plenty of promise. Read our full review here.
Those hungry for more brutality and viciousness got treated to the single Wormwood earlier this year and later this autumn, the group will release their debut full-length album. Called ‘Servants of Violence’ You know it’s going to be an absolute rager and Bloodstock fans will get the chance to hear some of these new tracks first!
Don’t take our word for it, the band had this to say about their Bloodstock set:
We are incredibly honoured to be playing Bloodstock Festival. We’ve understandably not been able to play shows throughout the pandemic, so for one of our first shows back to be at Bloodstock is just incredible. We hit the New Blood stage on the Thursday and the majority of our set will be tracks from our debut album ‘Servants of Violence’, which is set for an Autumn release. You can expect many more updates to follow within the coming months.
If you really want to warm yourself up before the festival you can catch Casket Feeder in Milton Keynes on the 6th August.
After the festival the band will also be playing the following shows:
26th September – New Cross Inn, London
12th November – Hanger 18, Swansea
13th November – The Dev, Camden – London
23rd April 2022 – Tanking Festival
There’s sure to be many more announced so stay tuned!
