Bloodstock 2021 Band Feature: Tortured Demon
An exciting prospect not just for Bloodstock 2021 but the future of heavy metal overall, Tortured Demon are a young three-piece Thrashcore band from Manchester, UK. Young, in the sense that the trio are all aged between 14 and 17.
What have you been doing with your life?
The trio formed in 2018 and haven’t stopped since. Releasing 3 singles, a demo, an EP and their debut full-length album. The latter, called ‘In Desperation’s Grip’ and released on the 5th of February 2021.
A chunky and hard-hitting slab of metal, the quality of the album spoke volumes about the talent amongst the three teens and their hard-work ethic. They’re already writing for album number two and getting shows & tours in place for when the country reopens.
Pre-lockdown they were battling in the Manchester Metal 2 the Masses and they won their heat. Doing more than enough there to get the attention of the festival and finding themselves added to the bill for 2021.
You will be able to catch Tortured Demon on the Thursday of the festival on the Jägermeister Stage.
The lads are going to get you head-banging, that much is for sure but don’t take our word for it. We asked the band what fans could expect from their Bloodstock 2021 set and they had this to say:
We are honoured to be one of the youngest bands to be given the opportunity to play Bloodstock, and we’ll be bringing some Thrashcore to the Jäger Stage! If you enjoy thrash, groove, breakdowns and blast beats inspired by the old-school but done in a new-school way, come down on Thursday!
