1. How did you get started as a band?

We’d all been in bands a while and kind of heard of each others acts, even shared a few bills/gigs on occasions but hadn’t really spoken to each other before properly. The idea to start a Celtic Punk band with a Yorkshire twist came from a chance meeting at a gig between TJ and myself (Sam) and it turned out it was something we’d both wanted to do for a while, we tried out different line-ups and jam sessions before landing on our current line-up and started knocking out songs and finding our feet, it all happened quite naturally.

2. How would you describe your sound?

We’re cheeky Yorkshire banjo punks haha, I guess the ‘pigeon hole’ that we get put in a lot is Celtic Punk. Which is fine with us, all of us love bands in that genre and it’s a huge inspiration on our sound.

3. What bands/artists would you say have influenced your style of music?

I think we collectively all grew up listening to bands like Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, Rancid, NOFX. Some of us loved UK punk stuff too like Capdown, Sonic Boom Six, Joe Strummer etc… Acts like that, with lots of albums to get stuck into, it’s music you can always revisit and still love. Big choruses and meaningful lyrics with hard hitting riffs that get you up on your feet jumping about.

4. Has the rise of YouTube & music streaming helped or hindered you as a band?

I think without a doubt it’s helped us, our genre is quite niche but there’s a lot of fans out there hungry for new Celtic Punk music so we have been fortunate really that we appear in suggestions and all that jazz.

5. What do you enjoy doing when you’re not making music?

I’m pretty obsessed with TV and Film, I like phycological thrillers, true crime docs and comedies.

6. What are your future plans musically? Tours?

We’re announcing a UK tour on Monday May 31st, keep you’re eyes peeled, we’re supporting one of our favourite Celtic Punk bands so naturally we’re buzzing about it. We’ve also got a new single called ‘On The Ropes’ out May 28th, come have a butchers.
