Game Review: Slice It All! (Mobile – Free to Play)
From Voodoo comes a free to play game that ticks all the right boxes. For what you expect from the mobile market and Voodoo in general these days.
Slice It All, like always, has addictive qualities but with diminishing results. After 15 minutes, you’re bored by the repetitive gameplay. Left wondering what you’re doing with your life. Classic Voodoo.
Simply tap the screen to slice whatever is in front of you. Earning money for everything you slice. With the chance to earn more coming by landing your knife in one of the multiplier boxes at the end of the level. That’s it. That’s all there is to the game.
You might be thinking that the money you earn is at least spent on skins or new knives to give the game some sort of replay value but you’d be wrong. You want something with replay value!? What on earth are you thinking!
It’s hard not to be incredibly sarcastic about Slice It All, simply because of how little it tries. How it follows a worn-out formula and has no interest in anything but shoving as many ads down your throat as possible. Games like this have become nothing more than ads with some occasional interactivity around them.
The whole argument that it is a free to play game becomes less and less acceptable when you see just how diminishing the results have become. There are flash games from the late 90s that put more effort in then the likes of Slice It All and Voodoo, in general, do.
Is it a terrible game? Of course not. It works and has some early addictive qualities about it. That wears off so quickly though and the realisation that you’re earning money for absolutely nothing makes it all feel so much more pointless. Unless you enjoy being hit with ad after ad. This is just another in a long line of Voodoo games to avoid.
